INDIANAPOLIS -- A person was shot and killed Tuesday morning on Indianapolis' northeast side.
The shooting happened in the parking lot of a gas station near the intersection of 34th Street and Sherman Drive at about 5 a.m.
A spokesperson with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said the victim was an employee of the gas station, but that it did not appear to be a robbery.
The victim has been identified as Sheriff Jallow, 50.

Tuesday's incident was the third recent case of a business employee being killed while on the job. On Saturday, a west-side McDonald's employee was killed while on break. On Sunday, a Dollar General cashier was killed in a robbery.
