Man shot, killed on St. Paul Street on southeast side of Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS — Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department are investigating after a man was shot and killed on the city's southeast side Thursday night.

IMPD responded to a report of a person shot around 10 p.m. in the 2400 block of St. Paul Street. When officers arrived, they located the man, identified as Martin Griffin, 47, with gunshot wounds. Medics transported him to Eskenazi Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

On Monday, homicide detectives arrested 23-year-old Kyle Lee William Roberts in connection with the incident, IMPD announced Oct. 19.

Prosecutors charged Roberts with murder and unlawful possession of a firearm on Oct. 21, according to online court records.
