Man shot, killed on Indy's northeast side

INDIANAPOLIS -- A man was shot and killed Friday morning on Indy's northeast side. 

The shooting happened at about 9:30 a.m. in the 3000 block of N. Colorado Avenue. 

The victim was taken to Eskenazi Hospital where he later died. 

A dispatcher with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said a suspect is in custody.

Police say they found more than 30 shell casings on the street where the victim was shot.

He has not been identified.
