INDIANAPOLIS — A person was shot Saturday afternoon near the Washington Square Mall.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers and emergency personnel were called around 2:30 p.m. to the 10200 block of East Washington Street, on the report of a person shot, IMPD Officer Aaron Hamer said in an email. When they arrived, they found a person suffering from a minor gunshot wound.
The victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment, Hamer said.
At this time, details surrounding the shooting have not been released.
The identity of the victim or any possible suspects have not been released.
