INDIANAPOLIS — State police are investigating after a man was shot Saturday evening on Interstate 465 on the southeast side Indianapolis.
Indiana State Police troopers and emergency personnel were called around 7:45 p.m. Saturday to I-465 southbound near the 48.4 mile marker, near Interstate 74 on the report of a person shot, ISP Sgt. John Perrine said. When they arrived, they found a man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
The man is in stable condition at a local hospital, Perrine said. Their identity has not been released.
Authorities are looking for a red or maroon four-door car in connection with the shooting, Perrine said.
Detectives are still working to determine what led to the shooting, but it is not believed to be a random shooting, Perrine said.
