INDIANAPOLIS — Two people were pronounced dead on Saturday night after a shooting on the east side of Indianapolis.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were dispatched to the 1900 Block of Audubon Road just before 6:30 p.m., where they found a man and a woman in a yard suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
Both individuals were pronounced dead at the scene.
IMPD canvassed the area for possible suspect(s), but have yet to determine a person of interest. According to Mjr. Harold S. Turner, this is an isolated incident.
"Quite a large disturbance that happened in or around the house," Major Turner said. "And unfortunately, as far too often as what we would like to see, it escalated into gun violence."
The Marion County Coroner's Office has identified the victims as Madison Day, 19, and David Taylor, 40.
