Police investigate after boy, 17, shot early Thursday in Avon

AVON — Police in Avon are investigating after a 17-year-old boy was shot early Thursday.

According to a report from Avon police, officers were called to the Avon Village Mobile Home Park shortly before 2:30 a.m. Thursday on report of a person shot.

Police said officers and medics with the Washington Township-Avon Fire Department provided first aid to the boy, who was taken to an area hospital.

The victim is expected to make a full recovery, police said.

The incident remains under investigation.
