INDIANAPOLIS — One person was killed early Tuesday morning in what police say may have been a shootout inside a moving vehicle.
The shooting happened on Washington Pointe Drive, near 10th Street at about 1 a.m.
A spokesperson with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said two men in their late teens were in a vehicle when they started shooting at each other.
The car went off the road, through a parking lot then crashed into a tree.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The other person in the vehicle was sitting on the curb when police arrived. The passenger was taken to the hospital in serious condition.
Police say they have everybody involved in the shooting in custody.
