RICHMOND — Richmond police are investigating the "suspicious" death of a 58-year-old from New York.
Roy Redford, 58, of Canaseraga, New York, was found dead on Monday after officers responded to a welfare check call, Richmond Police Department Capt. Curt Leverton said in a press release. Canaseraga, New York is about 75 miles east of Buffalo and 65 miles south of Rochester.
Officers responded to the welfare check in the 400 block of Commerce Road, near US 40 and just west of the Ohio state line.
The details and circumstances surrounding Redford's death are under investigation.
