BEECH GROVE — A second arrest has been made in connection with the shooting death of a 16-year-old boy in Beech Grove earlier this month.
German Parra, 26, is facing charges in Indiana in connection with the crime.
Investigators say Xavier Weir was driving in the 400 block of Grovewood Drive when someone opened fire on his vehicle. Weir crashed into a ditch and his vehicle caught fire. Officers had to pull Weir from the burning vehicle and he was rushed to the hospital where he later died.

A 16-year-old and an 18-year-old in the vehicle with Weir were not injured.
Police arrested a 16-year-old in connection with Weir's death shortly after the shooting.
Parra is a United States Army Sergeant military police officer stationed at a military base in Kentucky, according to Beech Grove Mayor Dennis Buckley.
Parra was arrested on a warrant out of Indiana on April 23 by US Marshalls in Kentucky. He is currently being held at the Hardin County Detention Center pending extradition. Buckley says Parra has told them he plans to fight the extradition so they are seeking a governor's warrant.
