Road rage shooting in Fountain Square leaves 1 critically injured

INDIANAPOLIS — A person was critically injured after being shot in Fountain Square on Sunday afternoon.

According to Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers responded to Virginia Avenue and Shelby Street on a report of a person shot.

When officers arrived they located a victim with gunshot injuries.

The victim was reported to be in critical condition.

According to police, the shooting stemmed from road rage. A 31-year-old man was detained for his connection to the shooting, according to police.
