Shooting on Indy’s east side critically injures 1

INDIANAPOLIS — A person is in critical condition after a shooting on the east side of Indianapolis on Monday evening.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to the 8700 block of E. Washington Street on reports of a person shot just after 6 p.m.

Upon arrival, officers located a victim suffering from a gunshot injury. The victim was reported to be in critical condition.
