BEDFORD — Police are investigating after a person walking their dog found skeletal remains Friday afternoon in Bedford.
Bedford Police Department detectives are investigating after the remains were found near 22nd and F streets, according to a Facebook post from the department. It is unknown how long the remains have been there.
A team from the Human Identification Center at the University of Indianapolis recovered the remains on Sunday, according to the post.
The identity of the remains is not expected for six to eight weeks, according to the post.
The remains were found in an area near where Brian Bloomquist was last seen in August. BPD, along with teams from Grant County Kentcuky Sheriff's Office and Kentucky Search Dog Association, searched the area on Sept. 15, acccording to the post.
