MONROE COUNTY — The Monroe County Sheriff's Office released a sketch of a possible suspect who is accused of raping a woman this week when she was stranded on the side of the road.
The suspect is described as a thin man who is between 5-feet-5-inches and 5-feet-8-inches tall with shoulder-length, light-colored hair that is thinning or bald on the top. He has a birth mark near his right eye and is possibly in his mid-40s.
Detectives said the sexual assault happened early Tuesday between 3:30 a.m. and 4:15 a.m. The victim said her vehicle stalled on Tapp Road, near the intersection of Tapp and Rayle Place. A motorist in a light blue passenger car stopped and then assaulted her inside his vehicle.
