INDIANAPOLIS — Indianapolis police arrested a 35-year-old man Wednesday in connection to the disappearance and death of his father in November 2019.

The Marion County Prosecutor's Office charged Jeremy Farmer with murder, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.

Detectives with the IMPD Missing Persons Unit began investigating the whereabouts of Roger F. Farmer, 58, of Indianapolis, on Dec. 27, 2019. Family members told police he had last been seen since Nov. 22, 2019, at his home in the 6700 block of Wandering Way on the city's west side.

During the investigation, detectives gathered information that led them to believe foul play was involved in the elder Farmer's disappearance and that he is deceased. Police said his remains have not been found.

Anyone with information should contact the IMPD Homicide Office at 317-327-3475 or Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana at 317-262-8477.
