ZIONSVILLE, Ind. -- It sounds like something out of a movie, but it actually happened.
Multiple vehicles across central Indiana were left sitting on cinder blocks after somebody stole their tires.
Cory Martin noticed two vehicles on blocks at a Zionsville apartment complex, called The Domain at Bennett Farms. The Zionsville Police Department said two cars had tires stolen Sunday.
ZPD also said similar crimes happened in Noblesville and Whitestown.
Martin said his apartment management never sent out any communication about the crimes.
"The most alarming thing of all was that the neighborhood did not send out an email or did not notify residents that anything was happening at all," Martin said. "So quite a few residents still have no idea that these things were happening over the weekend and just it kind of goes unnoticed if nobody points it out and it's pretty alarming."
Management at the complex said they talked to the residents involved about what happened. They did not answer RTV6 questions about security.
