Two dead, one injured after shooting near Michigan and Westlane Roads

INDIANAPOLIS — Two people died and a third was critically injured in a triple-shooting Tuesday night on the north side of Indianapolis, police said.

Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department responded to the shooting around 9:30 p.m. in the 7200 block of Rue de Margot Drive near the intersection of Michigan and Westlane roads.

Police found two people shot after they arrived. Medics pronounced both victims dead at the scene.

The Marion County Coroner's Office identified them as 17-year-old Jaivin Hoskin and 22-year-old George Qualls III.

Shortly after, IMPD officers found a third person wounded in the shooting at a Shell gas station in the 7200 block of North Michigan Road.

Medics transported the person to an area hospital in critical condition.

People have not provided information about a possible suspect or what led to the shooting.
