Two people hospitalized, one critical, after shooting on Indy's north side

INDIANAPOLIS — A man and a woman were transported to the hospital early Friday morning after an apparent shooting on the north side of Indianapolis.

One victim is in critical condition at the time of this reporting, and the other is stable, according to Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department public information officer, William Young.

The shooting happened around 4:45 a.m. on Friday when IMPD officers were called to the location of East 29th Street and Brouse Avenue. When officers arrived, they located the man and woman near a Chevy Cruze. Both the man and woman were transported to the hospital.

According to police on the scene, multiple rifle round shell casings were found near the car.
