INDIANAPOLIS — The death of a woman found on a couch in a church building on Indianapolis' southeast side is being investigated as a homicide.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were called to the 900 block of East Prospect Street around 9:15 a.m. Sunday after a woman was found unresponsive on the couch of the Religious Education Center building of St. Patrick Catholic Church.
Police say the woman, later identified as Julie Morey, was pronounced dead at the scene. Morey's cause and manner of death will be determined by the Marion County Coroner.
