Woman shot and killed at northeast side apartment complex

INDIANAPOLIS — A woman was shot and killed early Saturday morning at an apartment complex on the northeast side of Indianapolis, according to police.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers found the woman with apparent gunshot wounds after they were called just before 4 a.m. to the 4500 block of Jamestown Court, IMPD Officer Samone Burris said in an incident briefing.

Denna Sibley, 44, was killed in the incident, according to the Marion County Coroner's Office.

The apartment complex is near North Arlington Avenue and East 46th Street.

In June, two men were found shot and killed inside a car near the same intersection.

Additional information on Saturday's incident hasn't been released.
