GASTON, Ind. -- Two people were killed and at least three others were injured in a two-vehicle crash in Delaware County Tuesday afternoon.

The Delaware County Sheriff's Department says the two cars collided along Wheeling Avenue near West County Road 950 North just before 3:30 p.m.

The sheriff's department says two people were pronounced dead at the scene.

They've been identified as Joshua Hartley, 18, and Matthew Case, 28.

An 18-year-old passenger in the same vehicle was flown to the hospital in critical condition and a second 18-year-old passenger and the 68-year-old driver from the second car were taken to the hospital in serious condition.

Evidence collected at the scene by the crash reconstruction team indicates speed, alcohol and possibly illicit drugs were contributing factors in the crash.
