INDIANAPOLIS — Several downtown Indianapolis businesses are trying to slowly move back to normal operations.

On Wednesday, some of the establishments started removing the boards initially put up to protect the windows of their buildings during civil unrest.

The boards have been up since the police brutality protests began downtown in late May.

Some of the boards were later painted with murals and other artwork by local artists sharing messages of social justice.
