INDIANAPOLIS -- The crash report from the deadly bus accident at Amy Beverland Elementary School says the driver didn't apply the parking brake when she got out of her seat.

According to IMPD investigators, the driver was getting ready to leave the student loading area on January 27 after all of her students got on the bus.

However, she got out of her seat without re-engaging the parking brake, so the bus moved forward onto the sidewalk, striking students and principal Susan Jordan.

Jordan was killed.
