Johnson County crash sends driver to hospital with life-threatening injuries

BARGERSVILLE — An Indianapolis man was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after his car went off the road and caught fire Monday morning in Johnson County.

According to information from the Johnson County Sheriff's Office, a man in his 20s was extricated from his vehicle following the crash that happened at 4:50 a.m. on State Road 37 north of Stones Crossing Road.

The driver, who the Bargersville Fire Department said fell asleep while he drove to work, was transported to a hospital in Indianapolis.

The southbound side of State Road 37 reopened around 6:45 a.m.
