INDIANAPOLIS -- An Illinois man died on the Indiana Toll Road Thursday afternoon when his car left the roadway and fell 30 feet.
Police said 57-year-old Dwayne Jeffries, of Alsip, Illinois, was traveling eastbound on I-90 in a 2012 Chevrolet Equinox when his vehicle left the roadway for unknown reasons.
The vehicle then traveled over an embankment and became airborne – falling approximately 30 feet and landing on its roof.
Jeffries was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said Jeffries may had had a medical condition just prior to the crash.
