INDIANAPOLIS — Typically, the front lobby at Riley Hospital for Children is packed in November and December as families drop-off toy donations ahead of the holidays. But not this year.

“Riley Hospital for Children is a special place – especially around the holidays," Ann Hannan, the Riley Cheer Guild, said. "We are grateful to have the ability to share joy with our patients and their families. Toy donations help make that happen.”

Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, toy donations for Riley kids are best if done virtually instead of in-person. Those interested in donating can purchase gifts directly from the Riley Cheer Guild Wish List on Amazon. From there, the toys will be delivered right to the Riley Hospital toy room, which keeps the patients, families, staff, and donors safe.

Hannon says, "Toys are very much still needed! They are used every day of every month – to help kids get through their procedures, treatments, and long stays at Riley Hospital for Children."

Those who have in-person donations they want to make must be scheduled in advance by calling 317-944-8705.
