INDIANAPOLIS — Whether it was due to the impacts of the coronavirus pandemic or not, central Indiana still lost dozens of businesses in 2020.
A plethora of reasons could've been to blame for a business' permanent closure this year.
It could've been the government-mandated closures, stay-at-home orders, or social distance enforcements that killed foot traffic. Or maybe a historical presidential race that tested everyone's relationship to politics and business. Or even the country's racial reckoning through protests and social media could've had implications on a variety of storefronts and virtual shops.
Whatever the reason, all of the once-loved local businesses that will not be joining us in 2021 will be missed.
