HENDRICKS COUNTY — A woman died in a crash on SR39 just south of Danville on Saturday, according to the sheriff's office.
The crash occurred around 10:15 a.m. in the 1400 block of South SR39.
Hendricks County Sheriff's Office says officers located a single vehicle crash involving a Honda, occupied by a 52-year-old woman and a juvenile female passenger.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The passenger was taken to the hospital as a precaution but was reportedly uninjured.
Preliminary investigation determined the vehicle was traveling northbound on SR39 when it left the roadway for an unknown reason. The vehicle then struck a tree and rolled.
The roadway was temporarily closed for an investigation but has been reopened.
The crash is under investigation.
