FRANKLIN, Tenn. -- Rory Feek said he was going to give his wife an anniversary gift, "To live on, even after she's gone."
On Tuesday, that dream will become reality when movie theaters across the country show "To Joey, With Love," a documentary film that chronicles Rory and Joey's lives from a few weeks before their daughter Indiana was born, until last spring when Joey passed away.
The country singer died on March 4 after a battle with cervical and colon cancer. Joey Feek was 40 years old.

There was a private premiere for "To Joey, With Love" Monday night at the Franklin Theatre in Tennessee.
According to Rory Feek's blog, he and Indy said a few words before the film and the pastor who married Rory and Joey in 2002 said a prayer.
"Yes, there were tears. Lots of them. From all of us. But there was also a lot of joy and laughter. In the film, just like in real life... the pain we experienced in one moment was balanced by the joy we felt in another. The loss of one life was somehow balanced by the gift of another."
"To Joey, With Love" is showing for two nights only - September 20 and October 6.

Rory also wrote in his blog about the previous weekend and how Joey's mother, father and three sisters came to visit.
"I can only imagine all the feelings that they must've been feeling on the drive down here. Excited to see the baby that carries the lifeblood and love of their loved one, but nervous to awaken the pain that they, like me, have been learning to live with these past few months."
Last Friday would have been Joey's 41st birthday.
