LAWRENCE — Fire spread by wind destroyed one home and damaged two others Sunday afternoon in Lawrence.
Lawrence Fire Department firefighters were called around 2:30 p.m. to the 4800 block of Birmingham Drive for a house fire.
The wind caused the fire from a fully involved house to spread to two other houses, LFD Chief Dino Batalis said. One was was destroyed and two others were damaged.
No injuries were reported, Batalis said. One dog died in the fire.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Indianapolis Fire Department fire fighters helped at the scene.
