INDIANAPOLIS -- Firefighters battled a blaze at a small apartment house on the city's west side early Friday evening.
There were no serious injuries in the fire, which broke out after 6 p.m. at 3432 West Washington Street, near Rockville Road and Tibbs Avenue.
Both Wayne Township and Indianapolis firefighters rushed to the scene and were greeted by heavy flames coming from the structure.
It took about 30-minutes to bring the blaze under control and the residence appeared to be a total loss.
The fire's cause is under investigation.
