FISHERS — A house caught fire Wednesday in Fishers after it was struck by lightning.
John Mehling, a public information officer for the Fishers Fire Department, said there were no injuries and nobody was home when lightning struck the house in the Hunters Run subdivision at 15341 Eastpark Circle West.
When family members arrived and saw the house was on fire, they called 911 and rescued a family pet.
Mehling said the fire took about 45 minutes to extinguish.
