CONNERSVILLE — Five juveniles in Connersville are "critically stable" after taking muscle relaxants provided by another juvenile.

According to a report from Connersville police, officers responded on Tuesday to a report of an unconscious juvenile. Upon arrival, the officers learned the juvenile had taken several muscle relaxants provided by another juvenile who had left the scene along with several other juveniles who had also taken the medication.

Officers attempted to locate the other juveniles and around 10 p.m. Tuesday several 911 calls were received reporting other juveniles who were overdosing. Officers responded and gave aid to medical staff in caring for the juveniles as well as gathering evidence and information on the drug/medication that was taken.

Police said officers learned that five of the juveniles involved had been flown by medical helicopters to other medical facilities for treatment and were "critically stable." Police said there have been no deaths from the incident.

Additional information and specifics about the case cannot be released, police said. Investigators have identified the person believed to be responsible for supplying the medication/drugs involved, police said.
