GREENWOOD — Woodrow Wilson was president and the world was still in the grips of the flu pandemic when Wilma Foster was born on June 11, 1919.
And as Foster prepares to celebrate her 101st birthday on Thursday, she has one wish: to receive 101 birthday cards.
Foster, who lives at Demaree Crossing Senior Living in Greenwood, drove until she was 95, has a great sense of humor and loves gooseberry pie, according to a news release.
She has four children, nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
