Former Batesville mayor to plead guilty

BATESVILLE, Ind. -- The former mayor of Batesville, Indiana is expected to plead guilty to charges of patronizing a prostitute at a hearing in April. 

His trial was set to begin this week. 

Richard C. Fledderman, 60, is accused of paying for sex acts with Indianapolis man Randy Wigle-Stevens, 42, in June 2015. Wigle-Stevens was also arrested on charges of prostitution, intimidation and failure to disclose dangerous communicable disease status.

Fledderman resigned from his post as mayor two weeks after he was arrested.
