Widespread areas of freezing rain and ice north of the Indianapolis area are causing a growing number of power outages across portions of central Indiana.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory through 9 a.m. Tuesday for counties north of Indianapolis, including Boone, Hamilton, and Madison. Additional ice accumulations of up to two-tenths of an inch are possible through the morning.
The icy conditions have led to a number of reports of power outages north of the Indy metro area.
Here are the outage numbers being reported as of 11 p.m. Monday:

- Indiana Michigan Power — 2,014
- Miami-Cass REMC — 99
