GREENCASTLE, Ind. -- A Greencastle police detective was arrested last week on allegations of drunken driving and speeding.
Randolph Seipel, 49, of Greencastle, was arrested Thursday night in Hendricks County on suspicion of operating while intoxicated with a BAC greater than .15 percent.
Deputies reportedly observed Seipel traveling above the speed limit on U.S. 40 in Plainfield.
A breath test determined Seipel had a .20 percent BAC.
Seipel was released from the Hendricks County Jail on bond.
Officials said Wednesday that Seipel had been placed on administrative leave without pay, pending the results of an investigation.
