HAMILTON COUNTY—The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office Crash Team is investigating an accident late-Sunday in which a 45-year-old man from Fortville died.
It happened after 9 p.m. in the area of Southeastern Parkway and Connecticut Avenue, on the southeastern edge of the county.
Deputies say Charles Theobald was on his motorcycle on Southeastern Parkway when he lost control in a curve. The motorcycle went down an embankment and struck a tree. Theobald was ejected from the cycle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Theobald was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, according to deputies, and there were no witnesses to the accident. Test results are pending to determine if impairment contributed to the crash.
