CARMEL, Ind. -- A new automotive company’s headquarters in Carmel will be opening next summer and will bring more than 100 new jobs to central Indiana.
Kar Global Automotive is based in Carmel and they expect to finish construction of their new headquarters in the summer of 2019.
The company is making an $80 million investment in the community.
The 250,000 square-foot corporate office building will be located about two miles south of KAR’s current headquarters on the northeast corner of Illinois and West 111th streets.
“There’s going to be about 1,200 new jobs created here,’ said Jim Hallet with KAR Auction Services. “We currently have a number of job openings we’re about to fill, about 100 in this building. Most are IT positions.”
The company says they currently have more than 1,200 job openings in North America.
