CARMEL, Ind. -- Three people were taken into custody in after police found multiple vehicles broken into or stolen from a car dealership in Carmel, Indiana.
The investigation began when an officer with the Carmel Police Department observed multiple vehicles leaving the area of 96th Street and Keystone Avenue at about 2:15 a.m. Four vehicles quickly entered I-465.
Police were unable to catch them, so they returned to Carmel. While in the area, police learned that several vehicles were broken into or stolen from the nearby Penske Chevy dealership, a spokesperson with the Carmel Police Department said.
Officers found two juveniles and one adult in the area. They were taken into custody.
Police believe all suspects are from the St. Louis area.
