Newly installed planter boxes in Carmel vandalized over the weekend

Posted

CARMEL, Ind. -- The newly installed planter boxes in Carmel have already been vandalized.

Carmel Police say several of the units were tagged with spray paint sometime Friday night into Saturday morning. The vandalism happened between the hours of 10:30 p.m. and 6:30 a.m.

The city installed 40 planters just over a week earlier to serve as a protective barrier along the bike lane on Rangeline Road. The planters, although large, are on wheels and are removable.

If you have any information on who committed the vandalism contact the Carmel Police Department.
