CARMEL — A pedestrian was struck and killed by a dump truck in Carmel on Tuesday afternoon, according to the Carmel Police Department.
Carmel Police responded to the accident at 2 p.m. on the U.S. 31 northbound exit ramp to 146th Street and 151st Street.
Adam J. Bisesi, 35, was said to have walked into the roadway in the path of a 2000 International dump truck. According to police, the driver of the truck was not able to stop and stuck Bisesi.
The US 31 northbound exit ramp to 146th Street and 151st Street was closed for several hours while accident reconstructionists from the Carmel Police Department investigated the crash.
The investigation is ongoing.
