FISHERS — A woman is facing charges for driving while intoxicated after she was involved in a crash that killed a motorcyclist Sunday evening.
Fishers Police Department officers responded to the entrance of the Rolling Knoll Neighborhood at the intersection of 116th Street and Belle Plaine Boulevard just before 6:30 p.m. Sunday for an crash involving a vehicle and a motorcycle.
The motorcyclist, identified as Jonathon Reynolds, was taken to St. Vincent Hospital where he later died from his injuries.
The driver, Gayl Adams, 66, told investigators she did not see the motorcycle when she went to turn onto Bell Plaine Boulevard from 116th Street. While speaking with Adams, officers observed an odor of alcoholic beverage.
A Breath Alcohol Test indicated Adams had a blood alcohol content of .15 percent. She was taken into custody and is charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated causing death and operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
