FISHERS — Police in Fishers are upping up their presence for the rest of the week at Fishers High School after a threatening message was found written on the wall of one of the bathrooms in the school Wednesday afternon.
Police say the language of the message was threatening and caused enough concern to the administrators of the school that they contacted the police department to have them investigate. So far the person responsible for the threat has not been found.
Police will have increased presence at the high school for the rest of the week before the Christmas Holiday in addition to the school resource officers they already staff at the school.
If you have any information about the message or graffiti contact the Fishers Police Department.
Fishers High School sent the following message to parents Wednesday afternoon.
Tiger Family -
Today, concerned students alerted FHS Administration to writings on a bathroom stall. The writings contained inappropriate and threatening language. Fishers Police Department School Resource Officers were immediately notified and they are assisting us in identifying the individual(s) responsible. While we investigate this incident, additional officers will be present at our school for the remainder of the week as a precaution. We appreciate the actions of the responsible students who brought the concern to our attention and continue to encourage anyone who sees something to say something.
Thank you,
Jason Urban
