FISHERS, Ind. -- Fishers police want to warn you about a potentially dangerous situation so you don't become a victim.

Police say a woman was driving in the area of 116th Street and Allisonville Road on Sunday when two men in a small powder blue pickup truck with loud exhaust pulled up alongside her.

The male passenger in the truck got the woman's attention and told her she had lost her license plate.

He then held up a license plate and pretended it belonged to her.

The woman knew her plate number and recognized that she was in danger.

She did not pull over and continued driving.

Fishers police say if you are approached in this manner, call 911 immediately.
