FISHERS — In Fishers, residents have a bone to pick with the U.S. Postal Service.

Mail is being delivered late in the day and sometimes it doesn't come at all.

The complaints come from all over town, including the Sunblest neighborhood where retired postal worker Lee Adams lives.

"The routes are overburdened," says Adams. "They're too large. They need to bring more people in and have better staffing."

Adams says mail sometimes doesn't come until 10 p.m.

The postal service says an increase in packages is part of the problem.

A spokesperson says carriers are delivering as much as they can until a certain point and then picking up where they left off the next day.

That response doesn't ease the frustrations of Lee Adams.

"When you call the post office, they just tell you we are doing the best we can," he said.

The postal service says you should contact your local post office if you are having delivery problems, or you can call the Customer Care Center at: 1-800-275-8777.

You can also go to the postal service website and click on "contact us" at the bottom the homepage.
