FISHERS – A man has been arrested in connection with a fatal crash that happened over the weekend in Fishers.
The crash happened at about 1:30 a.m. on Oct. 17 near the intersection of 116th Street and Belle Plaine Blvd. When authorities arrived at the scene, a blue Mercedes was involved in a crash with a Toyota car. The Toyota was on fire.
Police believe the driver of the Mercedes crashed into the rear if the Toyota. The driver of the Toyota, a woman from Carmel, was pronounced dead at the scene. She has not been identified.
After receiving medical attention, the driver of the Mercedes was taken to the Hamilton County Jail on initial charges of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated causing death.
