HAMILTON COUNTY, Ind. — Hamilton Southeastern Schools is taking the next step with plans that could impact where your child goes to school.
Dozens of parents crowded a meeting Wednesday evening as the district presented its recommendations for redistricting.
Changes are coming because a 13th elementary school is opening next school year and many parents are not happy about the process.
“It feels like an old-fashioned bait and switch,” one parent said at Wednesday night’s meeting. “I don’t understand how an elected board can seemingly ignore the voice of their community when we have given you so much of our time and attention.”
The HSE School Board is scheduled to approve a final plan on December 12.
