Man killed, wife injured in single vehicle crash in Hamilton County

HAMILTON COUNTY, Ind. -- A man was killed and his wife injured in a car crash early Thursday morning in Hamilton County.

Sheriff's deputies were called to the area of Middletown Avenue and Cyntheanne Road around 2:40 a.m. 

Investigators believe the driver of a tan 1990 Cadillac Deville overcorrected, causing the car to run off the road and hit a utility pole.

Shawn Butler, 38, of Cicero, was pronounced dead at the scene.

His wife Rachel, 33, of Cicero, was a passenger in the vehicle.

She was taken to the hospital for a possible head injury.
