SHERIDAN — Authorities in Hamilton County located a 25-year-old man on Thursday in a pond near Sheridan.
John Paul Dawson Waters, of Sheridan, was found dead in the pond by a Sheridan police officer checking a property while the residents were out of town near the 2400 block of West 246th Street, Hamilton County Sheriff Deputy Bryant Orem said in a press release.
No signs of trauma or apparent foul play were found during an autopsy Friday, Orem said. The body appeared to have been in the pond for an extended period.
On November 7, 2018, authorities were called to the area near Sheridan Schools to investigate a suspicious person, now believed to be Waters, Orem said. Officers were unable to locate anyone while investigating the suspicious person call in November.
No one has seen Waters since early November, Orem said.
Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call detectives at 317-773-1282.
